Geneva Defeats Women's Tennis 8-1


9/28/2013 — BEAVER FALLS, Pa. - Penn State Altoona women's tennis suffered its second straight loss on Saturday afternoon, falling 8-1 to non-conference opponent Geneva College at Brady's Run Courts.

Geneva swept all three doubles matches, then took five out of six in singles.

Alli Wagner (Snow Hill, PA/Snow Hill) won 6-4, 2-6, 10-6 in #6 singles for Penn State Altoona's lone point in the match. The victory marked Wagner's first collegiate win in women's tennis.

Next up, the Lady Lions return to Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference competition when they travel to play Franciscan University on Saturday, October 5 at 1:00 PM.
