Cross Country Teams Secure Strong Finishes at Dickinson Invitational
9/28/2013 — NEWVILLE, Pa. - The Penn State Altoona men's and women's cross country posted solid placements at the Dickinson College Invitational today at Big Spring High School. The men's team came in 11th place out of 19 teams in the 8K race, while the women placed 14th out of 21 squads in the 6K race.
Leading the way for the men's team was Jason Anna (Slippery Rock, PA/Slippery Rock), who placed 32nd out of 188 runners with a time of 27:30.1.
Jacob Dean (Shade Gap, PA/Southern Huntingdon) came in 65th, finishing in 28:18.3.
Nathan Repetz (New Cumberland, PA/Cedar Cliff) secured a time of 28:27.7, good for 74th place overall.
For the Lady Lions, Kristen Cummings (Pittsburgh, PA/Brentwood) clinched 90th place out of 164 runners. She posted a time of 26:57.4.
Charlotte Searle (Boiling Springs, PA/Boiling Springs) was 101st place, crossing the finish line at 27:22.0.
Khristina Slobodnik (Altoona, PA/Bishop Guilfoyle) placed 112th with a time of 27:39.5.
Next, the Penn State Altoona cross country teams compete in the Carnegie Mellon University Invitational at the Schenley Park Oval in Pittsburgh, Pa.
