Lions Cruise to 6-0 Win Over D'Youville
10/5/2013 — ALTOONA, Pa. - Penn State Altoona men's soccer posted a dominating 6-0 win over Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference opponent D'Youville College on Saturday afternoon at Spring Run Stadium.
The Lions outshot the Spartans 34-1 overall and 21-0 in shots on goal.
A D'Youville own goal at 3:51 put Penn State Altoona on the board, and the Lions never looked back.
16 minutes later, Dan Kennedy (Langhorne, PA/Neshaminy) took a through ball from Cody Beach (South Williamsport, PA/South Williamsport) and scored to make it 2-0.
Karl Stephan (Milford, NJ/Delaware Valley) recorded his first goal of the season at 26:15, taking a pass from Kennedy near the left post and firing it into the goal to increase the Lions' lead to 3-0.
Nick Holland (Mechanicsburg, PA/Cedar Cliff) also found the back of the net for the first time this season, scoring at 32:09 to make it 4-0.
Just 27 seconds later, Chris Miller (Hollidaysburg, PA/Hollidaysburg) upped Penn State Altoona's advantage to 5-0 with his goal.
The Lions made it 6-0 at 51:19 on Alhaji Umaru Koroma's (West Chester, PA/Bayard Rustin) goal, which was his first collegiate score.
