Men's Golf Tied for Fifth After First Day at AMCC Championships

DAY ONE RESULTS

10/13/2013 — WEST MIDDLESEX, Pa. - After the first day of competition in the 2013 Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Men's Golf Championships at Oak Tree Golf Club, Penn State Altoona was tied with Medaille College for fifth place.

The Lions shot 331 as a team.

Meanwhile, Penn State Behrend shot 303 to end the day in first place. Pitt-Bradford was in second place with a score of 310.

Derek Duttry (Bloomsburg, PA/Central Columbia) posted the lowest score for Penn State Altoona in day one, shooting a 74 on the par 71 course. The score is also Duttry's best of the 2013 season.

Brock Dillon (Roaring Spring, PA/Martinsburg Central) shot an 81, and Evan Perry (Canton, PA/Canton) posted an 82. Dillon and Perry's scores were also their lowest of the year.

Mackenzie Flasher (Greensburg, PA/Greater Latrobe) finished with a 93, and Brandon Osgood (Wellsboro, PA/Wellsboro) shot a 99 to round out the squad.

Competition resumes for the second and final day of the AMCC Championships on Monday, October 14.
