Landis Awarded AMCC Defensive Player of the Week Honor
10/14/2013 — PITTSBURGH, Pa. - Penn State Altoona junior midfielder Trent Landis (York, PA/Central York) was named the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference's Defensive Player of the Week in men's soccer on Monday.
Landis has been an integral part of the Lions’ defensive success this season. His solid defense led Penn State Altoona to back-to-back AMCC shutouts last week: a 2-0 win over Pitt-Greensburg on Wednesday, and a 5-0 victory over Pitt-Bradford on Saturday.
Landis’ efforts have helped the Lions to a four-game winning streak in which the team has not given up a goal. The team has not allowed a goal in 417:05 of consecutive time.
Landis has made 10 starts for Penn State Altoona men's soccer this season. The Lions are 5-8 overall, including a 3-2 mark in the AMCC.
