Men's Soccer Keeps Winning Streak Alive, Edging Hilbert 2-1
10/19/2013 — HAMBURG, N.Y. - Penn State Altoona men's soccer extended its winning streak to six games with a 2-1 defeat of Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference opponent Hilbert College on Saturday afternoon.
The Lions' Quinn Oyler (Chamberburg, PA/Chambersburg) scored at 27:58 for the first goal of the game.
At 37:30, Karl Stephan (Milford, NJ/Delaware Valley) made it 2-0 when he scored off of Matthew MacCrory's (West Chester, PA/West Chester East) corner kick.
Hilbert responded quickly, as Jonathan Davison placed the ball into the bottom left corner of the net to cut Penn State Altoona's lead to 2-1 at 39:02.
But the Hawks' first goal proved to be the last one of the game, as the Lions hung on for the victory.
