Women's Tennis Eliminated from AMCC Tournament With 5-0 Loss to Behrend

10/19/2013 — HARMAR, Pa. - The Penn State Altoona women's tennis season came to an end on Saturday when the fourth-seeded Lady Lions were defeated 5-0 by number one seed Penn State Behrend in the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Semifinal at the Alpha Tennis and Fitness Center.

Behrend swept doubles with 8-4, 8-5, and 8-0 wins, then clinched the match with a pair of victories in singles.

Penn State Altoona women's tennis finishes its season with a 7-7 overall record, including a 5-3 mark in the AMCC. Its seven wins this year were the most for the program since the 2004 season.
