Men's and Women's Swimming Combines for Third Place Finish at Bradford Relays
10/19/2013 — BRADFORD, Pa. - The Penn State Altoona men's and women's swimming teams tallied a combined score of 132 to come in third place out of six teams at the Pitt-Bradford Relays on Saturday.
The Lions picked up a first place finish in the Men's 300 Yard Butterfly Relay, as the team of Keenan Halpin (Bensalem, PA/George School), Alex Fisher (Clearfield, PA/Clearfield), Zachary Jones (Holland, PA/Council Rock South), and Benjamin Porter (West Chester, PA/Unionville) finished in 2:47.45.
In the Mixed 200 Yard Freestyle Relay, the squad of Sydney Mrozinski (Chalfont, PA/Central Bucks South), Brendan Farren (Monroeville, PA/Gateway), Ashley Nero (Oak Hill, VA/Oakton), and Kyle Huber (Spring Grove, PA/Spring Grove) came in first with a time of 1:40:41.
Another first place finish was earned in the Men's 300 Yard Breaststroke Relay, as Jay Wareham (Leesburg, VA/Loudoun County), Huber, Porter, and Fisher combined to record a time of 3:09.87.
Penn State Altoona's final first place of the day came in the Men's 500 Yard Freestyle Relay, as Halpin, Wareham, Jones, and Farren combined to clock in at 4:35.13.
