Women's Volleyball Swept 3-0 at Franciscan


10/23/2013 — STEUBENVILLE, Ohio - Penn State Altoona women's volleyball lost 3-0 to Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference opponent Franciscan University on Wednesday night in Finnegan Fieldhouse.

Franciscan won the three sets by scores of 25-16, 25-17, and 25-20.

Mariah McDowell (Morrisdale, PA/West Branch) led all players with 11 kills and also had 13 digs.

Becky Britton (Northern Cambria, PA/Northern Cambria) added seven kills and 10 digs.

Emily Baker (Lewisberry, PA/Red Land) led the team with 16 digs, while Emily Frye (Etters, PA/Red Land) totaled 11.

Kristi Batzel (Osterburg, PA/Chestnut Ridge) tallied 17 set assists.
