Men's Soccer Defeated 5-1 in Tune Up at King's College
10/30/2013 — WILKES-BARRE, Pa. - In their last regular season game before Saturday's Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference First Round contest, the Penn State Altoona men's soccer team fell 5-1 to non-conference opponent King's College.
King's scored all five of its goals in an 11:52 span early in the first half.
Andrew Tuminello got things started at 6:05 with his header goal off of a throw-in.
Goals from Daniel Hernandez at 10:40 and 11:13 made it 3-0 before Tuminello tallied his second score of the night at 15:47. Cameron Rhodes' free kick goal at 17:57 made it 5-0.
Penn State Altoona got on the board at 37:49 when Chris Beech's (White Oak, PA/McKeesport) shot during a scramble in the box found the back of the net.
Brandon Zhang (Lansing, MI/Singapore American School) made four saves in goal for the Lions.
Penn State Altoona's next contest will open the AMCC Tournament this Saturday afternoon. The fourth-seeded Lions host rival Mount Aloysius College, the fifth seed, for a 2:00 PM game at Spring Run Stadium.
