Colucci, Yatcilla Earn Spots on AMCC All-Conference Team
11/1/2013 — PITTSBURGH, Pa. - A pair of Penn State Altoona women's tennis players, freshman Michelle Colucci (Middletown, NJ/St. John Vianney) and sophomore Cassie Yatcilla (Downingtown, PA/Downingtown East), were voted to the Second Team of the All-Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference team, which was released on Friday.
Colucci was voted Second Team in the #1 singles flight. Her 8-3 record tied for the best mark on her team, and it was the second-best #1 singles record in the AMCC. Colucci lost only one singles match in conference play, compiling a 7-1 record against AMCC opponents.
Colucci and her doubles partner Yatcilla were voted Second Team in #1 doubles. The duo compiled a 7-3 record together, including a 5-2 mark against AMCC foes.
Penn State Altoona women's tennis went 7-7 in 2013 and finished with a 5-3 record in the AMCC, placing fourth in the conference. The team's seven wins were the most for the program since the 2004 season.
