Suchonic is AMCC Bowler of the Week
11/18/2013 — PITTSBURGH, Pa. - Penn State Altoona freshman Brea Suchonic (Butler, PA/Butler) was named the women's bowling program's first-ever Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Bowler of the Week on Monday afternoon.
This is the first season that the AMCC has sponsored women's bowling as a championship sport.
Suchonic was the most consistent bowler for the Lady Lions this weekend, when the team hosted the first AMCC quad match that also included Medaille College, Mount Aloysius College, and Pitt-Bradford. Penn State Altoona accumulated a 4-2 record in the two-day competition and placed first in total pinfall with 4856 pins.
In the team match on Saturday, Suchonic averaged 155. In the baker games on Sunday, she averaged 17.18 pins per frame in 40 frames of play.
