AMCC Releases 2013 All-Sportsmanship Team for Fall Semester
11/22/2013 — PITTSBURGH, Pa. - The Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference released its 2013 Fall All-Sportsmanship Team on Thursday, which includes representatives from each of Penn State Altoona's seven fall sports teams.
All teams that compete for an AMCC championship select one member from their roster who displays good sportsmanship throughout the season to be a member of the All-Sportsmanship Team. These individuals are selected by vote of their teammates.
The student-athlete selected by each team must consistently demonstrate a high level of ethical conduct, respect and fair play in both practice and competition, whether on the sidelines or as an active competitor. Such sportsmanship shall be evident toward teammates, coaches, opponents, officials, and fans. The player must also serve as a positive representative of school spirit when a spectator at other teams’ sporting events.
The seven Penn State Altoona student-athletes who were voted to the Fall All-Sportsmanship Team are:
Women's Volleyball: Emerald Shaw (Brooklyn, NY/Fort Hamilton)
Men's Golf: Evan Perry (Canton, PA/Canton)
Women's Cross Country: Kristen Cummings (Pittsburgh, PA/Brentwood)
Men's Cross Country: Jason Anna (Slippery Rock, PA/Slippery Rock)
Women's Soccer: Katy Hartigan (Drexel Hill, PA/Upper Darby)
Men's Soccer: Quinn Oyler (Chambersburg, PA/Chambersburg)
Women's Tennis: Alli Wagner (Snow Hill, MD/Snow Hill)
