Women's Bowling Gets Three Wins in Saturday's AMCC Quad Match
1/11/2014 — BUFFALO, N.Y. - Penn State Altoona women's bowling earned three wins in as many games during Saturday's Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference quad match.
The team's three wins are the most they have recorded in a single day of competition during the 2013-2014 season, and the victories give the Lady Lions 10 wins against AMCC teams this season.
Saturday marked the first day of a two-day AMCC quad match that also includes Medaille College, Pitt-Bradford, and Mount Aloysius College. This is the second of three weekend-long AMCC quad matches this season.
Kelsey Ryan (Delran, NJ/Holy Cross) led the Lady Lions in total pinfall with 473 pins in three games, averaging 157.67 pins per game. She also posted her team's highest score of the day, bowling a 183 in one game.
Abbi Noel (Altoona, PA/Altoona) tallied 457 pins and averaged 152.3 per game, and Brea Suchonic (Butler, PA/Butler) finished with a total pinfall of 456 for an average of 152 pins per game.
Chelsea Ritts (Altoona, PA/Altoona) and Brooke McCready rounded out the squad with total pinfalls of 423 and 406, respectively.
Noel and Ritts each bowled a game of 178, tying for the second-highest score on the team for the day.
Competition resumes on Sunday, January 12 at 9:00 AM.
