Women's Bowling Wraps Up Weekend of AMCC Matches


1/12/2014 — BUFFALO, N.Y. - The Penn State Altoona women's bowling team recorded two wins and one loss on Sunday in baker matches against Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference opponents Pitt-Bradford, Medaille College, and Mount Aloysius College.

The Lady Lions finished the weekend of AMCC competition by totaling five wins and just one loss.

In Sunday's baker format, the Lady Lions posted wins over Mount Aloysius (717-629) and Pitt-Bradford (620-497) while losing to Medaille (919-779).

Brea Suchonic (Butler, PA/Butler) averaged 15.97 in 28 frames in the baker format, finishing with the top average on her team for the day.

Abbi Noel (Altoona, PA/Altoona) averaged 13.86 on Sunday for the second-best average on the squad. Kelsey Ryan (Delran, NJ/Holy Cross) finished the baker format with an average of 13.61, and Chelsea Ritts (Altoona, PA/Altoona) averaged 13.18 for the day.

Next, the team will compete in the Kutztown University Invitational on January 24, 25, and 26 in Reading, Pa.
