Women's Bowling Finishes in 21st Place at KU Invitational
1/26/2014 — READING, Pa. - The Penn State Altoona women's bowling team wrapped up its weekend in the Kutztown University Invitational on Sunday by winning two out of three baker matches, securing 21st place out of 26 teams by the completion of the event.
The Lady Lions finished ahead of the other three Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference teams that took part in the KU Invitational, as Pitt-Bradford finished 22nd, Medaille College placed 23rd, and Mount Aloysius College came in 25th.
Sunday's format featured best-of-7 baker matches. Penn State Altoona's wins came over Pitt-Bradford in their first and third matches of the day, with the Lady Lions' loss coming against Coppin State University in the team's second match.
Brea Suchonic (Butler, PA/Butler) continued her strong bowling for the team, averaging 16.68 for 40 frames in Sunday's baker matches.
