Lady Lions Remain in Fifth at SFU Invitational


2/1/2014 — ALTOONA, Pa. - In day two in the Saint Francis University Red Flash Invitational at Holiday Bowl, Penn State Altoona recorded two wins and two losses to stay in fifth place at the event.

Saturday's competition consisted of the team match format. Penn State Altoona bookended its day with victories over New Jersey City University by scores of 775-711 and 750-637. In between, the Lady Lions lost to Delaware State University 956-868 and host school St. Francis 928-642 while also bowling 665 during a bye.

Brea Suchonic (Butler, PA/Butler) continued her strong bowling for Penn State Altoona, averaging 170 in five games. She led the team in total pinfall for the day with 850, and she posted the highest game score for the Lady Lions when she a 211 against Delaware State.

Brooke McCready (Altoona, PA/Altoona) bowled the second-highest score for Penn State Altoona, dropping 209 pins against Delaware State. She totaled 646 pins in four games for a 161.5 average.

Abbi Noel (Altoona, PA/Altoona) was second on the team in total pinfall with 705 in five games, averaging 141 per game.
