Lions Tennis Swept 9-0 by Franciscan in Home Opener




3/21/2014 — ALTOONA, Pa. - Penn State Altoona men's tennis had its first home match spoiled by Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference foe Franciscan University on Friday, as the Barons prevailed 9-0 at the Summit Tennis and Athletic Club.

Franciscan opened the match by taking all three doubles flight by scores of 8-1, 8-2, and 8-3. The Barons proceeded to make swift work of the Lions in singles play.

Penn State Altoona's next match is against AMCC opponent Pitt-Greensburg this Sunday, March 23 at ProCare Health and Fitness Club in Altoona at 1:00 PM.
