Lions Tennis Defeated 8-1 at Juniata


4/1/2014 — HUNTINGDON, Pa. - Penn State Altoona men's tennis was topped 8-1 by non-conference opponent Juniata College on Tuesday afternoon at the Raffensperger Tennis Courts.

The Eagles opened the match by sweeping doubles play, winning 8-2, 8-1, and 8-1 in the three doubles matches. Juniata proceeded to take five of six in singles to seal the win.

Joe Settimio (Altoona, PA/Altoona) earned the lone point for Penn State Altoona, winning 7-6, 6-2 against his opponent in the No. 5 singles flight.

The Lions fall to 0-4 overall this season. The squad travels to face Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference foe Penn State Behrend this Saturday, April 5 at 4:00 PM.
