Men's Tennis Eliminated from AMCC Tournament With Loss to Franciscan

4/26/2014 — ERIE, Pa. - Penn State Altoona men's tennis suffered a 5-0 loss to Franciscan University in the first round of the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Tournament on Saturday afternoon at Westwood Racquet Club.

The loss eliminates the Lions from the AMCC Tournament, ending the team's season.

Franciscan opened the day on a strong note, sweeping all three doubles matches against Penn State Altoona by scores of 8-1, 8-2, and 8-1.

The Barons went on to win two singles matches, clinching the victory and ending the match.

Penn State Altoona men's tennis finishes its season 3-8 overall and had a 3-3 mark in the AMCC.
