Men's Basketball to Host Camp, Clinic This Summer

ALTOONA, Pa. - Penn State Altoona men's basketball and its head coach Billy Clapper will again offer a summer camp for youth basketball players and a college skills clinic for high school basketball players.

Penn State Altoona hosts the Lion Camp and Little Lion Camp from Monday, July 28-Friday, August 1.

The Lion Camp ($110) is open to boys and girls ages 8-13 and runs from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM each of those days. Participants in this session will learn skill work and build a solid foundation to grow as players. Time will be devoted daily to team play, hand-eye coordination, competitive drills, and being great teammates.

The Little Lion Camp ($65) is for boys and girls ages 5-7 and will occur from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM each day. This session introduces the basics of the game of basketball. Participants will be instructed on layups, dribbling, passing, shooting form, defense, and teamwork on the court.
