Greg Scallen is in his second year as the head coach for men's and women's swimming & diving. In addition to his coaching duties, he is also the Assistant Director of Recreation and Facilities.

Scallen is no stranger to competitive swimming. He has proven success in his 15 years as a head coach, having served in that capacity at the club, high school, and collegiate levels. Throughout his tenure as a head coach, his club and high school programs have produced All-Americans, Academic All-Americans, state champions, and several student-athletes that continued their swimming careers are the NCAA I, II, and III levels.

Scallen was raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico and began his swimming head coaching career at the city's St. Pius X High School in 1988. Over the next six years, his teams enjoyed the benefits of hard work and the pursuit of personal excellence, a philosophy that proved to be a winning combination. Scallen was also active as a head coach in the Sundance Aquatic Association from 1987 to 1994.

In 1994, Scallen relocated to Central Pennsylvania. He spent one season at Juniata College as the women's swimming head coach for the 1995-1996 campaign. Upon completion of that season, he was appointed head coach of boys and girls swimming & diving at Hollidaysburg Area Senior High School. He served three seasons before retiring from the role in 1999 to raise his two young children, enter the private business sector, and continue educational goals.

Scallen holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, as well as a Master's degree in Business Administration with a specialization in Health and Human Services Administration.

He resides in Hollidaysburg, Pa. with his daughter Jamie and son Dane.
