Loretta "Lori" Tremmel is in her fourth season as the head coach of women's bowling at Penn State Altoona.

Tremmel was the Director for the Altoona Women's Bowling Association for over 20 years. She was inducted into the Altoona Women’s Hall of Fame in 2001 and was inducted into the Pennsylvania State Bowling Hall of Fame in 2006.

Tremmel has volunteered a total of 21 years as a coach in the Junior Bowling Programs in the Altoona area, and she is a Certified Coach through USBC.

Tremmel has been a pioneer for women's bowling in the Altoona area, launching the First Annual Altoona Women's Bowling Hall of Fame Banquet in 2000. She was one of the first women in the Altoona area to be a sanctioned member of both the Men’s and Women’s Associations. She continues to bowl locally and nationally in both Men’s and Women’s Leagues and Tournaments.

Tremmel has been an active bowler ever since her father introduced her to the sport. She bowled as a professional (LPBT & PWBA Member) in regional tournaments for eight years, and she is a member of local, state, and national 600 Clubs and a national 700 Club.

Tremmel holds the Altoona City High Series with a 789 Series since the early 1980’s. She has two 299 games and over sixty 700 series in her list of achievements.

Tremmel resides in Duncansville with her husband. She has three sons, all of whom are bowlers. She also has one daughter-in-law who bowls, as well as two grandsons and one granddaughter.
