Brittany Bovard, an Altoona, PA native, is taking part in Penn State Altoona's first Puerto Rico Exchange Program. She will spend the spring 2007 semester in Bayamon, Puerto Rico at Inter American University. This year's program focuses on the field of biology and includes a field work class here at Altoona and a tropical field biology course in Puerto Rico. While there, she will have the opportunity to learn about a different culture and language without leaving the U.S. Brittany will take classes in English that include history, English, art history, and biology.
